Yes, you read that right, cacao is a gift from ancient civilization.. If you are not familiar with cacao yet, you surely know some of its most famous products such as hot cocoa and chocolate. It might surprise you, but these products you’re familiar with all come from a fruit packed with natural occurring antioxidants. The origin of the plant itself and its fruits was first found deep in Central American jungles. Centuries ago, the Mayans discovered the health benefits of cacao, experiencing first-hand it’s wellness, restoring and energy benefits by turning it into a drink.
We partner and work with cacao producers of the finest cacao in Guatemala. We not only know the communities we work with but we know the REAL people behind the cacao fruit and the practices to harvest it. We witness their passion for the fruits they grow first hand and have been exploring ways to make the most out of the cacao plant together. We also jointly develop cacao nibs and other cacao products used directly in our Cacao Tea beverage. Because of this close partnership, we make the most of each cacao pod to maximize its uses and at the same time minimize waste.
